Need to maximize flexibility to charge storage based on your business' rules?
You can now set the default options for storage charges, as shown on the screen below. Prior to this release, both of the storage charge entries below would always default to option 3. With this release, the system will ask if you want to save the new defaults when they are modified on this screen.
Security settings to save the default for the area are available for any user that has a security level of edit or higher for each transaction or event type (examples: Calculate Storage Charges, Price Contracts, etc.).

Do you have users who need to be able to update the status of inventory items but should not be able to change any other properties of those items? This improvement adds that functionality.
There is a new third tier security option called "Activate Item ?". This item is only checked if the user doesn't already have access to the "Add Item" or "View/Edit Item" options.
If the user has their security set up as described above where they do not have "Add Item" or "View/Edit Item" but do have access to "Activate Item ?", then they will be able to acces the "View/Edit Inventory Items" menu option under "Item Maintenance".
When the user selects option "2) View/Edit Inventory Items" they will be able to search for or enter an item to edit. Once selected the normal "View/Edit" menu will be presented with only options "1) General Information" and "7) Save/Exit" enabled.
Selecting "1) General Information" will show the appropriate screen. All fields other than "Active Product ?" will be marked read only. The user can change the status and save it but nothing else.
