In this article, you will learn how to delete a dataset.

\uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions

Step 1: Sign into the Dataset wanting to be deleted
AGRIS must read the dataset security to determine if the user has rights to delete a dataset.

Step 2: Go to Maintenance > Dataset Maintenance

Step 3: Highlight the dataset and press delete (You must have level 6 security in order to delete datasets)

Step 4: When prompted “Delete this Dataset”, select Yes

Step 5: AGRIS will ask “do you want to delete package-name”
Answer YES.
AGRIS will give you a 14-character number.
Call in to AGRIS Support (1-800-366-2474) and ask for access codesprovide this number to key a 3-character alpha code.

Step 6: Provide 14-character access codes to support representative (Each package has its own access codes)
Note that if you keep track of these codes, every copy of this dataset will use the same codes.
These codes are created when you initialize the dataset the first time. For example, code ATN was keyed when NAME/ADDRESS was initialized and every copy of this dataset will use ATN to delete the Name/Address package from the dataset.
You can Reassign the Access codes to make them different via Customize > Reassign Access codes.

Step 7: Once all packages have been deleted, the dataset will also have been deleted.

NOTE: If you accidentally answer the DELETE THIS PACKAGE question wrong, continue through the other packages. AGRIS will prompt that the dataset was partially deleted. Go back through the delete process again to delete the package(s) you skipped.
