Logging In For The First Time

The default user id and password are set to "admin" and "password1" respectively.  Use these the first time you log in.  Choose the proper server access method for your particular configuration from the Server list.

Defining Users/Roles

For the pilot, there is only one pre-defined user, admin.  This user has some administrative functions enabled that should not generally be used as they are not yet supported.

We recommend changing the default password for the admin user and defining a more limited user role to prevent inadvertently accessing functions that are not yet supported.

  1. Click the "Security" button.
  2. Change the admin password.  Double-click the admin user to bring up the Edit User dialog.  Change the password and click OK.
  3. Create a new user.  Click New User.  Enter at least a Username and Password.  And set the Status to Active.
  4. Assign proper role for User.  Select System User in the Available Roles list.  Click > to move it to the Selected Roles List.  Click OK to save the change.
  5. Modify the System User Role.  Select the Role tab and double-click the User role to bring up the Edit Role dialog.

Select the Module and Form Permissions tab.  Uncheck all Administration selections.  Click OK.
