Chapter 5_Miscellaneous Enhancements 12.3

This chapter describes the miscellaneous enhancements made to Cinch.
This chapter contains the following sections:

• Sales Contract Inquiry

• SmartList BOL

• Changes to Board of Trade Maintenance

• Changes to Board Ticker Maintenance

• Changes to Price Schedule Entry

Sales Contract Inquiry
An expansion button within the scrolling window has been updated to include In transit options.

         1. Open Sales Contract Inquiry

(Inquiry>Cinch Sales>Contract Inquiry)

1. The Del/Cancel/IT field's drop down list has been modified with the addition of In Transit Inquiry. When selected this opens the Sales Contract Deliveries window.

SmartList BOL
Code has been written to enable SmartList Zoom to open the Cinch Sales Inquiry window. Once in the Sales Inquiry window the user can than print a Bill of Lading.

Changes to Board of Trade Maintenance
Board of Trade Maintenance has been updated with the addition of the Currency ID.

1. Open Board of Trade Maintenance

(Cards>Cinch Grain>Contracts>Board of Trade)

1. The Currency ID will be used for Mark to Market reporting purposes only and will not be validated against the Cinch transaction Currency ID.

Changes to Board Ticker Maintenance
Board Ticker Maintenance has been updated with the addition of the U of M and Currency ID.

1. Open Board Ticker Maintenance

(Cards>Cinch Grain>Contracts>Board Tickers)

1. Select a U of M to associate with the Ticker.

   1. Any Items added to the Ticker will have to have the ticker's U Of M present within the Item's U Of M Schedule.

   2. The U of M will be used for displaying transactions within Price Schedule Entry and will not be validated against the Cinch transaction U of M.

   3. Any active tickers that existed prior to installing 12.3 will have to be manually updated with the U of M.

2. The Currency ID will default from the selected Board of Trade, but it can be changed.

3. The Currency ID will be used for Mark to market reporting purposes only and will not be validated against the Cinch transaction Currency ID.

Changes to Price Schedule Entry
Price Schedule Entry has been updated with the addition of the Filter by Currency and display by Price UOM option.

1. Open Price Schedule Entry

(Transactions>Cinch Grain>Commodity Trading>Futures Price Schedules)

1. Market Price Date, if a user attempts to change a date, on a saved scheulde, they will be prompted that prices have already been entered. If they continue all prices will be removed and will have to be entered again.

   1. When multicurrency is enabled the new date will require a new Exchange Rate this causes all the values to be recalculated.

2. Filter By Currency, when multicurrency is enabled this will allow the user to filter the lines in the scrolling window based on the Currency ID on each line.

3. Drill back on the Filter By Currency label will open the Contract Currencies window.

   1. Clicking the Update Rates button will update the Exchange Rate on the schedule.

   2. When multicurrency is enabled and contracts exists in currencies other than the Functional Currencyn, the system will check for current Exchange Rates for those currencies. If a current rate doesn't exist, the user will be prompted to update the rates.

4. Price UOM, allows the user to enter prices based off of the selected UOM.

   1. Weight UOM – The Weight UOM entered on the Item's Item Extensions Maintenance screen.

   2. Futures UOM – The UOM associated with the Board Ticker.

   3. If the Price UOM is switched, the system will convert the entered pricing to the selected UOM. Price will be calculated based on the conversion factors entered on the UOM Schedule for the item selected.

5. Display Currency, is based on the selected Board of Trade Currency ID.

   1. If multicurrency is enabled and the selected Board of Trade currency is different than the functional currency, the user can select which currency to view pricing values in.

6. The scrolling window will display it's lines based on the contracts in the system. They will be grouped on the following fields:

   1. Delivery Period

   2. Delivery Year

   3. Market Zone

   4. Market Period

   5. Market Year

   6. Currency ID

   7. Rate Table ID

   8. Exchange Table ID
