Action List / eSign Error Meanings and Resolutions

Below you will find some of the errors that may appear inside Action List. We cover what they mean and how to resolve them.

Invalid Email

  1. This error means the recipients email is invalid, and therefore the email was rejected. This could be as simple as a misspelling or a wrong email altogether.

    1. To correct the issue, input the correct email in the SIG field for the user in AGRIS

    2. Next, delete the erred contract out of the “Error” bucket in Action List, it’ll flow back into the “Ready” tab and you’ll be able to resend it.

Invalid Signature Anchor Text

  1. This error means that the verbiage on your form where the recipient is supposed to sign doesn’t match what you have in Action List configuration.

    1. To correct, simply change the text on your form, or change the text in Action List to match

      your form.

    2. This is case and character sensitive

    3. You can have different forms of course, but the verbiage where signature needs to go needs to be the same across all forms and match Action List. We’ve included 2 examples below of what is meant by signature anchor text.

    4. Next, delete the erred contract out of the “Error” bucket in Action List, it’ll flow back into the “Ready” tab and you’ll be able to resend it.

Sender email doesn’t match

  1. This error means the sender email that was ended in the eSign portal does not match the sender email in AGRIS. This could be as simple as a misspelling or a wrong email altogether.

    1. To correct the issue, input the correct email in the sender’s field in AGRIS or update eSign portal with the correct email from AGRIS.

    2. Next, delete the erred contract out of the “Error” bucket in Action List, it’ll flow back into the “Ready” tab and you’ll be able to resend it.
