Identifying Obsolete or Unused Inventory
How to identify inventory items that are obsolete or unused
Option 1:
Run the Inventory Advanced Report to show the Last Transaction Dates
INV > Report Manager > Advanced Reports > Print Standard Reports > 2. Last Transaction Dates
Option 2:
Run an Activity Summary Spreadsheet
INV > Report Manager > Inventory Status Reports > Print Standard Reports > 15. Activity Summary Spreadsheet
Key in the date range you are looking for on the additional options screen
A spreadsheet will open.
For sales, look at column AI on the spreadsheet for Sales Quantity and column AP for Sales Amount $
Sort the columns using Excel functions in the order desired, such as putting most sold quantity or dollars at the top.
