Critical error occured during initialization (SysMenu:bSysMenu:Main),
Error Number: -2147220891
Error Description: Automation error

 

Error is followed by the message-f:\agris\datasets does not exist. Create (Y/N) where f: is the drive letter to the agris database that is listed in the Agris.ini.
 

The Agris.ini could be pointed to an incorrect folder, the drive letter is not mapped, or there are network configuration errors.

Verify the client can access the data path:

  1. Open the C:\AGRIS\Agris.ini File

  2. Copy the Data Path from the Agris.ini

  3. Select Start and Run

  4. Paste the Path in to the Open box

  5. Click OK

COMMENT (2/23/22):  This error was recently observed attempting to perform Web Service extracts.  The cause was eventually found to be that a path in the default AGRIS.ini on the component server was NOT accessible by the account that the AGRIS_ABS COM+ app was using.  We determined this by logging in as the COM+ identity and attempting to launch AGRIS.  Even though this happened to involve the userprog path, it was enough to cause immediate failures with AGRIS_ABS despite AGRIS_ABS starting.
