Error: Multiple Users Report Btrieve 3111 Errors

This could indicate that the Pervasive Engines are not running.

Start (or restart) the Pervasive Engines:

  1. Have all users exit Agris.

  2. At the desktop of the AGRIS database server, right-click on the My Computer icon and select Manage.

  3. In the new window that opens up, click on the plus next to Services and Applications on the left hand side.

  4. Click on Services icon.

  5. On  the right-hand side of the box, find the Pervasive.SQL (relational), right-click on it and select Start.  If the service is  already running, select the option to Stop instead of Start.  Repeat this step for the Pervasive.SQL (transactional) as well. 

  6. If the services are now started, continue to step 7.  If the services are now stopped, start the relational engine by right-clicking and selecting Start.  Once the transactional engine is started, repeat for the relational engine. 

  7. Close the Computer Management window.

  8. Users should now be able to enter Agris with no errors.
