Error: System Check Detects Wrong Version of Pervasive Installed

Attempting to install Agris, the system check determines that a version of Pervasive is installed which does not meet system requirements, even though the program is not listed in ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. There are registry settings which are incorrect.

Clean up the registry and remove traces of the invalid Pervasive entries.

Click START - RUN - type in REGEDIT
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pervasive Software\Products\
Both Pervasive.SQL 2000 Client and a Pervasive.SQL 2000 Workstation engine engines appear. To resolve installation error, one of these folders should be deleted. -

If the computer is running off of a dataset on the network, Client is the correct version. Delete the Workstation folder and update Workstation engine to the correct version necessary to run Agris.]]> -
If the computer is running off of a dataset loaded locally (POS and oneWeighs), Workstation is the correct version. Delete the Client folder and update Workstation engine to the correct version necessary to run Agris.

In Windows 7, the following keys would need to be removed:

HKLM \ Software \ Wow6432Node \ Pervasive Software \ Products --> Delete any product keys (folders) that show up under the Products key

HKLM \ Software \ Wow6432Node \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Uninstall --> Delete any keys that explicitly reference Pervasive or keys similar in format to {90150000-002A-0000-1000-0000000FF1CE} that reference Pervasive on the right side of the window when they are selected
