When trying to open AGRIS, a Btrieve 3017 error (Data buffer of the local engine is too small) is encountered

The requester had more data to send the MicroKernel than the MicroKernel buffers can handle.  Specify higher values for Communications Buffer Size and MKDE Communication Buffer Size parameters.
 

On the machine encountering the Btrieve 3017, perform the following:

1. Click Start - (All) Programs - Pervasive.SQL V8 - Control Center

2. Click on the plus next to Pervasive.SQL Engines - (computer_name) - Configuration - Server

3. Select the Communication Buffer Size folder

4. Modify the Communication Buffer Size to be 65153 bytes

5. Modify the MKDE Communication Buffer Size to be 65153 bytes

6. Click on the red exclaimation mark (!) at the top of the Control Center to save changes

7. Click Yes

8. Exit the Pervasive Control Center

9. AGRIS should now launch properly
