Preliminary Requirements for an AGRIS Upgrade (Greenstone Assisted Upgrade)

For all Greenstone assisted upgrades, you will need to contact your Account Manager regarding your request. A quote will be provided to have a Greenstone Specialist or Analyst assist you in upgrading to the latest AGRIS software version. Once a quote is signed, the Greenstone assisted AGRIS upgrade will be scheduled.

Prior to the the scheduled upgrade, please have the following information ready:

  1. Ensure the point of contact (POC) has Administrator privileges or knows an Administrator password.

  2. Ensure the POC has access to the main Database Server (remote or physical).

  3. Prepare a list of all machines that have AGRIS installed and accessible, that will need to be upgraded.

  4. Confirm you have a backup of the ..\AGRIS\DATASETS, ..\AGRIS\USERPROG, and ..\AGRIS\SUPPORT folders on the AGRIS Server.

The backup must be made AFTER all users are signed out of AGRIS to be considered a viable backup prior to proceeding with an upgrade.
