Period Analysis Reports
AGRIS gives you the ability to compare transactions over multiple periods, similar to a comparison ledger report. The Inventory Activity reports will allow you to compare 4-periods and calculate a difference between the amounts. In this example, we’ll build a Fertilizer Season Quantity Comparison that has a YTD Comparison
How to Create the Reports
INV > Report Manager > Inventory Activity Reports > Report Writer > Insert New Report > Copy from standard report DAILY ACTIVITY REPORT BY PRODUCT CATEGORY
Edit the title.
Accept the sorts.
Lock in transaction type 0-1 for cost adjustments to invoices.
Lock in product category range to only pickup fertilizer product categories.
Lock in dates to cover 2-years of activity
Subtotal by Inv Location, Product Category, & Item number(all equal to 1)
Answer NO to print detail
Answer YES to Reverse Sign on Invoice Quantities
Answer YES to print Comparison Analysis
Fill in titles for the Period Analysis Labels.
These will appear in the header columns.Fill in the date ranges for the Period Analysis Labels.
These can be edited each report. Just remember that these dates must be within the overall date range keyed on the first range selection criteria.Give these fields positions to print.
In the case of this report, we only selected to print 3-fields on the Activity Detail #1 screen.
On the Activity Detail #2 Screen, click on Options.
Answer YES to print on the same line as Activity Detail #1.
Select to print the Period Quantity Field.
NOTE: You could also print the Sales Dollar amounts. The period Analysis is locked into sales dollars quantities and amounts.
How to Run the Reports
INV > Report Manager > Inventory Activity Reports > User Defined > Select Report > Tweak dates if needed
