How To Write A Ticket Report to Look For Missing Ticket Numbers

Go to GRN>Report Manager>Ticket Reports

Choose Report Writer Features

Hit insert at the bottom

Select standard reports

Select #1 Ticket Report

Hit ok

Change the title to something that makes sense to you and hit ok.

Hit continue

Select ticket number

It will ask if you want to check for sequence, select yes

Blank out the number at the top and hit select

If you want to put in parameters, these will default in when you run the report, but you will still be able to change this. It is helpful to add these in if you know you are always going to run this report for something specific like a certain location or current day.
You do not have to put anything here. You can just hit ok for the next 2 Range Selection Criteria screens.

Subtotal is 0 and Grand total is N

Make everything on this screen N

Since the purpose of my report is to look for ticket numbers, not ticket information, I have very basic things selected. You can set up the columns as you see fit.

On the next screen hit clear at the bottom. It will ask you to confirm, hit yes. It will ask if you want to set the fields for testing, hit no. Hit select and do the same thing on the next screen.

Hit save and Exit
This gives me a very basic report that will tell me if there is any missing ticket numbers at a glance. You can see on my report the missing number is due to a change in ticket range. If you have a different number for truck ticket than rail, you can run for one at a time if this is confusing to you.
