Ticket Remarks Configuration & Control [Quick Tip]

Ticket Remarks are the most common adjustment request for the Ticket Entry screen and the printed ticket. The configuration and control of the remarks are done in two steps. They are configured in the GRN package, but they are controlled in the ONE package.

Step One: Configuring Remarks

On the main AGRIS screen go to: GRN>Setup Information>Ticket information button.

Click NEXT

This screen is where the ticket remark is built. In this example, Remark #5 is the Pit Comment. Note this remark number. It will be needed when adding it to a form. The range is how many characters are allowed. In this case the remark will be located in position 1001-2000. If the range is blank, it means this is a variable length field for that remark. Click NEXT and then OK.

Step Two: Controlling Remarks (Also known as the Where and the What)

Go to ONE>Set Up Information>Workstation Information>Ticket Remark Fields

Here you will notice that our Pit Comment #5 is in POSITION #9. It will be Remark #5 for printing on a ticket. Press SAVE to keep these settings.

And now you will see Pit Comment in position 9 on the ticket entry screen. Note that the Weigher is in Position 1, the Inspector is Position 2 and Truck Description is Position 3. There are no remarks for 4-8 so they are blank. If you have more than 9 remarks on the first screen, the next set of remarks will be in Remark Group 2. Click the radio button to view those.

Making Remarks Required

There may be a time where you want to require the scale operator to enter data in a remark field.

Go to ONE>Set Up Information>Workstation Information> Click the REQUIRED button.

In this example, we are making the Pit Comment required by putting an “R” in the display field. The letter, “O” signifies that is optional.

This field will now appear on the ticket entry screen as red to show it is a required field.

Cleaning Up Remarks

Sometimes after years of accumulating remarks, you may want to clean these up and delete the obsolete ones. For example, someone who worked for the company 15 years ago, but is no longer there is still available to select as a “Weigher.”

From the Main Agris screen go to GRN>Set Up Information>Standard Ticket Remarks. Click OK to list all Remarks. The asterisk will list all of them.

Choose the remark data that you wish to delete and click SELECT

Now you can type over or “edit” the remark or click DELETE to remove it. It will ask you to confirm before it deletes.
