Required Field by Commodity

You can make grades/remark fields required by commodity instead of having them required for all commodities.

Example: You are taking corn and soybeans at your facility. Only corn needs to have moisture on tickets to complete but soybeans its not required.

First you need to identify what fields you want to make required for the commodity. Below I have Yellow Corn and Soybeans selected in my ticket entry. I’m going to make Moisture and Weighmaster not required for Soybeans for this example.

Go to One > Setup Information > Workstation information > Required.

We can see that Grades 1 & 2 and Weighmaster are currently required for all commodities.

To make it required by commodity you need to put a “C” in the boxes labeled: “Inbound Display type” “Outbound Display Type” and then click “Set Commodity Code Requirements”.

Select your commodity

It will display the fields that you have set to “C”. Then choose which fields will be required and click save.

Open Ticket Entry. Now you will see for Yellow Corn, Test Weight and Moisture are required and Weighmaster is not. For Soybeans, Test Weigh is required but Moisture and Weighmaster are not.
