The AGRIS 18.3.0 release has added:

AGS-5420 Default the user's assigned printer just like Microsoft does

Want to:

  • Minimize effort and time to use local, Terminal Server or Citrix printers?
  • Increase flexibility to use a default printer no matter what server you log into?

Using your print option 7 (other printer), the list of network printers that pops up now defaults to that workstation's operating system default.

This new feature will allow you to:

  1. Manually selecting Option 7 when printing a report
  2. Set the Report Output Defaults for the report type to be 7, then print that type of report
  3. Set the output option on a user-defined text based report to be 7, then print the report
  4. Set the output option on a user-defined advanced report to be 7, then print the report
  5. Set the output option on a user-defined text based form to be 7, then print the report
  6. Set the output option on a user-defined graphic form to be 7, then print the report
  7. Use your default printer when the default print option is 7, and the report is processed in a report stream

Navigation to Use:  any package, any report/form > Select option 7 when printing

When option 7 is chosen above, then the list of available printers is displayed as shown below.

With this enhancement, your default printer is automatically selected in the list above.   If you always want this type of report to print on the your (or a another user's) default network printer, then set the default print option to be “7”, under Customize, Report Output Defaults.
