Benefits

Reduce time and effort to populate Farms and Fields in AgroGuide from other sources.

Description

Standard AGRIS imports are now available for AgroGuide farm and field information. As with all AGRIS imports, AgroGuide import access is controlled by AgroGuide Import Ability extended option.

Setup

Maintenance setup

Go to Maintenance > Dataset Maintenance > Select a dataset > Click Extended Options > Double-click AgroGuide > Set Import Ability (#22) to Y. By default this is set to “N”.

System security setup

Go to Customize > System Security > Select a User Id(s) > Edit Security Levels > Type A and locate the following options:

  • General Options - Import Farms (Set to Yes)

  • General Options - Import Fields (Set to Yes)

File layouts for Imports

Go to Maintenance > File Layouts for Imports > Double click AGY > Click OK.

Please make sure to review this document before importing.

Usage

After the setup is complete, do the following to begin an import:

1. In AGRIS go to Reports.

2. Select Import Procedures.

3. Select Standard Import File. Click OK.

4. Enter 5 into Output Device field. Click OK.

5. Click OK again.

6. Select option 1) Begin Import Processing.

7. Now AGRIS should begin the import process.

After import is complete, do the following to review upload results:

1. In AGRIS go to Reports.

2. Select Spooled Reports.

3. Select the most recent report.

4. Print the report to review the approved and rejected items.

File layouts for Imports

Go to Maintenance > File Layouts for Imports > Double click AGY > Click OK.
