Overview & Benefits
Ticket Post allows finished tickets to post directly to the Agris server without need for import/export process.
Capability to see successful and unsuccessful ticket post messages at the oneWeigh.
oneWeigh must be on version 17.4 or newer.
Network & Component Services Setup Overview
Ticket Post uses Component Services to relay the oneWeigh ticket files to the Agris server.
All machines need to be on the same domain.
Firewalls must be configured to allow Com+ (DCOM) communications between the oneWeigh PC’s and the Agris server.
All Ticket Post configuration will be done on the oneWeigh machine.
Component Services Setup
The following steps must be done on the oneWeigh that ticket post will be running on as well as the Agris server. Also, the identity (Services) account and settings must match on each oneWeigh and the main Agris server. If this is not done, ticket post will fail.
To configure the COM+ services to use the correct account, perform the following steps:
Go to Start - (Settings) - Control Panel - Administrative Tools – Component Services.
Double-click on Component Services - Computers - My Computer - COM+ Applications.
Right-click on Agris_ABS and select Properties
Select the Identity tab and make the following changes:
Select This user: and hit Browse...
Click the Locations button > Entire Domain
Type in the name of a domain user with local administrative rights on the component Server and click Check Names to verify the account and click OK*
Type in the correct password in both password boxes.
Click Apply and OK.
Right-click on Agris_ABS and select Shut Down.
Right-click on Agris_ABS and select Start.
*The AGRIS Installation instructions recommend setting up an account called
'services' that can be used as the identity for the AGRIS COM+ applications. This
account should be a domain account with administrative permissions to the server
that the COM+ components are running on. It should also be used exclusively for
the AGRIS COM+ applications and no other process or user should attempt to sign
on to the server using these credentials.
OneWeigh Setup
The following settings will be set up on the oneWeigh that finalizes/completes the ticket(s).
On the oneWeigh go to ONE > Setup Information > Workstation Information
“Processing Options 1” tab > Check/Enable “On-Line Ticket Update” box.
After completing this, navigate to the “Export” tab > Click the box that reads “Off” to go to the ticket post configuration settings.
Check/Enable “Ticket Post Enabled” box.
Then set the server configuration settings to point to the main Agris server:
The user ID/password input is the ID used to log into the Agris dataset on the server. *The user ID used needs to have the ability to “import GRN tickets” and “import Name ID’s”(if posting names) enabled within the Agris dataset identified in the Dataset No. field.
The remote server name is the Agris Server name.
Dataset number is the Production Dataset on the Server.
Database: Select which type of database your oneWeigh is running on. Ex. Zen/PSQL
Remote path of datasets directory is the mapping to the Datasets folder on the server. Ex. C:\Apps\Agris\Datasets – Do NOT put the dataset number in the datasets directory path as that is established in the field above.
Save > Save. Open Ticket Entry.
If the configuration is set correctly, ticket post will automatically open once Ticket Entry is launched. You should see the communicator box, it may be open down in the taskbar:
