Overview
Use this job aid to set up the equipment and assign equipment roles. The equipment roles will need to be setup first before assigning them to equipment.
To setup blenders/loadouts:
From the Toolbar select AGY for AgroGuide.
From the AgroGuide window, select General Setup, and then select Equipment - Edit.
Click New.
In the Equipment Id box, type a unique identifier. If the system is set for only one location, equipment must be valid for the default location.
In the Equipment Name box, type an identifying name.
In the Location Code box, click Lookup, click the ellipse to search for a location, or type in the location code. If the system is set to use only one location, the default location will display and the Lookup and Copy buttons are disabled.
In the Make, Model, and Serial Number boxes, type in the make, model, and serial number for the blender.
Mark the Is Inactive box if the Blender/Loadout should be inactive.
Mark the Is Liquid box to identify this piece of equipment to be used for liquid blending.
Mark the Is RANCO box it identify the blender as a RANCO Blender.
Mark all Equipment Roles that this blender/loadout fulfills. There may be more than one checkbox marked.
In the Weight Capacity box, type the weight capacity for this piece of equipment.
Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the UOM box, and then select the unit of measure associated with the weight capacity.
In the Volume Capacity box, type the volume capacity for this piece of equipment.
Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the UOM box, and then select the unit of measure associated with the volume capacity.
If the blender is NOT a RANCO blender, click the arrow to the right of automated controls and select the correct blender.
Click Registry.
Click New at the Automated Control Registry.
In the Automated Control Id box, type a unique name for the automated control. The name cannot contain commas, single, quotes, double quotes or embedded spaces.
In the Automated Control Type box, click the down arrow and select the brand name of the blender control.
In the Registered DLL and Class box, the default DLL and class for the Automated Control appears.
In the path to the Transfer Queue box, type the path to the folder where the blend request is to be stored for automated control pickup, or click the ellipse to browse and select the folder.
Click OK.
Click Setup.
Click New.
In the Product Code box, type the code that is used for each item in your Automated Control System.
In the Item Code box, click Lookup and select the location and item code from Agris that corresponds with the product code for your Automated Control System.
Repeat Steps 25-27 until you have all of your items used in the Automated Control System Setup.
Click OK.
If the blender is a RANCO blender, click RANCO .
In the Maximum RPM's box, type the max RPM's for the blender.
In the Max Weight/Minute box, type the maximum weight per minute.
In the Max Volume/Minute box, type the maximum volume per minute.
Click New.
In the Bin Id box, type the bin id, and then press Tab.
In the Assigned Items box, click Lookup and select the item for the bin id you typed. If the system is set to use only one location, only items that are setup at the default location will display.
In the Location box, click Lookup , type the location code, or click the ellipse to search for the location code. If the system is set to use only one location, the default location will display and the Lookup button is disabled.
In the RANCO factor box, type the RANCO factor, or click the ellipse button to calculate the RANCO factor.
In the Calibration Density box, type the calibration density.
In the Weight UOM box, click the drop-down arrow, and then select the weight unit of measure.
In the Volume UOM box, click the drop-down arrow, and then select the volume unit of measure.
Repeat steps 34-40 until you have added all of your items.
Click Ok.
In the Note box, type any notes for the blender.
Click Ok.
Press Esc until the Toolbar becomes active.
