AGRIS Customer Documentation

Durable Goods Tracking (DGT)

Durable Goods Tracking is a Licensed option that allows your company to track the product from within their containers and to know who has the possession of containers and what repair state they are in.

For example:

AGRIS inventory will show 550-gallon of Atrazine Chemical.
Durable Goods Tracking will show five 110-gallon shuttles of Atrazine Chemical that add up to 550-gallons.

Each of those containers will be tracked to the customer that took delivery on them and they will be billed out in 110-gallon quantities.

When the customer brings back the shuttle, a product return can be done to bring that shuttle back into stock along with any remaining product they customer did not use.

Then you can:

  • cleanout that container and use another product in it or

  • fill that container with more of the same product and invoice out to a new customer or

  • just send it out with the remaining product and bill to another customer.

The idea is that you will always know where your containers are and who has have current possession of the containers.

Note that this all adds another step to your invoicing, stock additions, & maintenance tracking. This will meet the EPA requirements for tracking containers of restricted products. Due to the extra work, be aware that you may only want to track containers for certain products. This new option does not have to be an all or nothing use of this function. You can maintain containers for just certain products.
