Farm and Field Setup

Entering a Farm for a New Client:

Search for the Client or enter the NameID.

Enter the Crop Year preferred.

Open

Select the NEW button.

Enter Farm information including estimated Farm size.  (If not known enter a number and edit when map boundaries are entered.)

Open

Select OK. The plain icon, , indicates that there is no mapping data present for the farm.

Field(s) can be added to this Farm.

There are two ways to insert a field.

• Highlight the Farm in the Farm/Field tree to add a Field

• Select Field Mapping Processes button and Add from the drop down

1) Highlight the Farm to add a Field

Select the NEW button

Enter Field name and information including estimated acres.  You are not required to enter Crop Zone information.

Apply and Cancel or OK.

The Field is added to the Farm.  The plain icon, , indicates that there is no mapping data present for the field.

To add a Field Boundary for this new Field, select the Field Mapping Processes button.  Select Add from the drop down.

Draw the Field boundary and double click when it is completed.  Select the  button and select the Farm to save the boundary.

Select the Existing Field box to use the name on the Farm/Field tree and OK button to save.  A new field may also be added by entering a new field name.

Click the  button to cancel without saving the Field.

Select OK.  Field will appear and GIS acres will calculate and display.

Crop Zones are added to fields using the same process.
