This chapter describes miscellaneous enhancements made to AgNotes.
This chapter contains the following sections:

• Changes to Loan Setup

• Changes to Loan Transaction Entry

• Changes to Loan Account Balance Inquiry List

• Changes to Loan Account Balance Inquiry

• Changes to Account List by Customer Report

• Changes to Account List by Branch Report

Changes to Loan Setup
Loan Setup has been modified with the addition of the Post Thru GL checkbox.

1. Open Loan Setup

(Microsoft Dynamics GP>Tools>Setup>Savings and Loan>Loan Setup)

1. Post Thru GL checkbox:

   1. When marked, the system will post the loan GL transactions as they are entered into the system.

      1. The GL batch number will be LN plus a generated sequence starting with one and incrementing by one for every transaction, for example LN0000000000001.

   2. When checkbox is not marked the loan GL transactions will be posted manually.

      1. The GL batch number will be LN(month)(day)(user id).

Changes to Loan Transaction Entry
Loan Transaction Entry has been modified to check for unposted payments and subtract interest paid when calculating the interest available to pay with the payment being entered.

1. Open Loan Transaction Entry

(Transactions>Loan>Loan Trx Entry)

1. When entering a payment Transaction Type, if another payment for the same account is entered on the same day the calculated interest will be net of any non-posted interest payments that may exists on the account.

Changes to Loan Account Balance Inquiry List
Loan Account Balance Inquiry List has been modified with addition of new columns.

1. Open Loan Account Balance Inquiry List

(Inquiry>Loan>Loan Balance List)

1. The following columns have been removed from the inquiry list:

   1. Total Interest

   2. PYTD (Prior Year to Date) Interest

   3. YTD (Current Year to Date) Interest

   4. Current Balance

   5. Accrued Interest

2. The following columns have been added to the inquiry list:

   1. Current Bal, includes all transactions with effective date on or prior to the Cutoff Date.

   2. Deferred Bal, displays transactions with deferred dates only, the following rules will apply:

      1. Only Invoices and Returns It WILL NOT Contain Adjustments or Transfers from AgNotes.

      2. Only transactions where the Cutoff Date is on or before the Transaction Date AND the Cutoff Date is before the Effective Date.

   3. Interest Owed, is the amount of accrued and unpaid interest (Including interest adjustments) as of the Cutoff Date.

   4. Principle Bal, is Current Bal + Deferred Bal

   5. Total Owed, is Current Bal + Deferred Bal + Interest Owed

   6. Origination Date

   7. Maturity Date

   8. Interest Rate

   9. Branch Segment ID, the Branch Account Segment for the given branch.

3. Export to Excel has been updated to include the new columns.

Changes to Loan Account Balance Inquiry
Loan Account Balance Inquiry calculation of the Deferred Transaction amount has been modified.

1. Open Loan Account Balance Inquiry

(Inquiry>Loan>Loan Balance Inquiry)

1. Deferred Transaction calculation, the following rules will apply:

   1. Includes Invoices and Returns transactions with deferred dates only. It WILL NOT Contain Adjustments or Transfers from AgNotes.

   2. Only transactions where the Cutoff Date is on or before the Transaction Date AND the Cutoff Date is before the Effective Date.

Changes to Account List by Customer Report
Account List by Customer report has been modified by replacing Current Bal column heading with Principle Bal.

1. Run Account List by Customer report

(Reports>Loan>Loan Reports; Report Name = Loan Plan List)

1. Principle Bal is Current Bal + Deferred Bal

Changes to Account List by Branch Report
Account List by Branch report has been modified replacing Current Bal column heading with Principle Bal and adding Branch Account Segment.

1. Run Account List by Branch report

(Reports>Loan>Loan Reports; Report Name = Loan Plan List by Branch)

1. Branch Segment ID is the Branch Account Segment for the given branch

2. Principle Bal is Current Bal + Deferred Bal
