Adding a Discount to Ticket Entry Screen [Quick Tip]
As in the agricultural field, no two growing seasons are the same. You may find that you need to start counting for a grade that you didn’t before. These directions will help you set up a discount so you can enter the grade at ticket time.
Things to be aware of:
This is just adding the discount to the ticket entry screen, if you want tickets to show discounts you will need to set up discount tables. Directions can be found on Confluence.
If you are not on a stand-alone machine, you should make sure everyone else is out of the system to avoid system lockups and/or file corruptions.
You will need to make sure that the oneWeigh and the server AGRIS have the same discounts set up. If one has a discount the other doesn’t, your tickets will reject.
Step-by-step guide
Go to GRN> Commodity Tables>Commodity Codes
Select #2 View/Edit A Commodity
Enter your commodity code and location and hit ok
Don't change anything on the first screen, hit next
On the screen called discount information, this is where you can change what discounts you want to show, their Min/Max and what order you want them applied. (So, if one grade needs to be deducted before another, you can set that here.) Default will always enter that value into to the grade, but will be changeable. If you set a Min/Max it will not allow you to continue if the grade is outside the parameters. Order is the order you want discounts taken. You can set it so $ discounts are taken before or after shrink discounts.Â
Enter your discount code in the first empty box and enter your minimum and maximum number for grades on this discount, if you wish. If you are going to have some loads as 0, make sure your minimum is 0.
 Â
This will now show up as a field to enter a grade in ticket entry.
