Overview

Use this job aid to inquire about general ledger accounts.

To inquire on an account:

  1. From the Toolbar, click LDG for General Ledger.

  2. From the General Ledger menu, select Inquiry Options, and then select Account Inquiry.

  3. In the Account Code box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the account code, or type the account code you want to inquire on.

  4. In the Detail box, type the detail code you want to inquire on, or leave blank for all detail codes.

  5. In the Profit Center box, type the profit center you want to inquire on, or leave blank for all profit centers.

  6. If you left the Detail box blank, at the Include All Detail Codes?, type Y to select all transactions for the selected account code from all detail codes for the inquiry.

  7. If  you left the Detail box and Profit Center box blank, at the Include All Detail Codes and Profit Centers?, type Y to select all transactions for the selected account code from all detail codes and profit center codes for the inquiry, or type N to select transactions for the selected account without a detail code and profit center.

  8. In the Location Code box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the location code, or type the location  code you want to inquire on.

  9. Click OK.

  10. In the Beginning and Ending Period boxes, type a date range that will limit the selection of general ledger distribution lines to include in the inquiry.

  11. If you want to inquire on the general ledger distribution line select the line to display additional information, and then click OK.

  12. Click Back.
