Delivery Ticket & Invoice - security flag to prevent change prices but a manager can override (AGS-7961)

Benefits:

  • Enhances the security option in Delivery Ticket Entry and provides another under Invoice Entry allowing for a more granular control over the entry/modification of prices.

  • Maximize the ability to enforce prices and margins.

  • Increase the ability to view and investigate price overrides on Delivery Tickets and Invoices.

Navigation & Setup:

Navigation: Customize > System Security > Edit Security Levels 

  1. Delivery Tickets

    1. This option now has three settings, 0=NO, 1=VIEW, 2+=YES.

    2. NO means the user can not see nor change the price level/schedule fields or the line item price/uom/dollar amount fields.

    3. VIEW means the user can see the price level/schedule fields and the line item price/uom/dollar amount fields.  The user can only change them if allowed to do so by another user with proper access levels via the override feature.

    4. YES means the user can see and change the price level/schedule fields and the line item price/uom/dollar amount fields.

  2. Invoices

    1. This new option has two settings, 0-1=NO and 2+=YES.

    2. NO means the user can see the price level/schedule fields and the line item price/uom/dollar amount fields.  The user can only change them if allowed to do so by another user with proper access levels via the override feature.

    3. YES means the user can see and change the price level/schedule fields and the line item price/uom/dollar amount fields.

Usage - Delivery Tickets

Navigation:  INV > Delivery Tickets > Delivery Ticket Entry and View/Edit Delivery Tickets

  1. Security level for Override Ticket Price = 0

    1. All Price Level/Schedule, Unit Price, Total Price, and UOM fields are hidden and may not be changed.

  2. Security level for Override Ticket Price = 1

    1. All Price Level/Schedule, Unit Price, Total Price, and UOM fields are open but require an override to change.

  3. Security level for Override Ticket Price >= 2

    1. All Price Level/Schedule, Unit Price, Total Price, and UOM fields are open and may be changed without needing an override.

Usage - Invoices

Navigation:  INV > Invoices > Invoice Entry

  1. Security level for Override Ticket Price = 0

    1. All Price Level/Schedule, Unit Price, Total Price, and UOM fields are hidden and may not be changed.

  2. Security level for Override Ticket Price = 1

    1. All Price Level/Schedule, Unit Price, Total Price, and UOM fields are open but require an override to change.

    2. If the initial unit price is zero then no override will be necessary to change it the first time.

  3. Security level for Override Ticket Price >= 2

    1. All Price Level/Schedule, Unit Price, Total Price, and UOM fields are open and may be changed without needing an override.

Logging

Navigation:  Utilities > Override History Inquiry

  1. The two security options have been added to the Override History Inquiry.

  2. If a document number is available, it will be included in the override record.  The lines below where there is no document number indicate that a user completed an override during ticket/invoice creation but canceled before saving the ticket/invoice.
