Overview
Use this job aid to allocate equity based on the results of any patronage refund that occurred during the specified date interval. For example, if during the date interval specified, a patron received a refund that represented 1/4% of total dollars refunded to all patrons, that patron will receive 1/4% of the dollar amount of this allocation. The entire allocation will be to an equity source code with no allocation for cash, stock, or stock credits.
To allocate based on patronage refund:
From the Toolbar, click PAT for Patronage.
From the Patronage menu, select Patronage Transactions, and then select Source Allocation.
In the Total Amount to Allocate box, type the total dollar amount you want to allocate among the patrons who received a refund..
In the Based On box, type 2 for Patron Refund.
In the Transaction Date box, type the date of the transaction if different from the default.
Click OK.
In the Refund Beginning and Ending Dates boxes, type the range of dates during which the refund occurred. For example, if you last calculated a patronage refund option on April 15, 2001, and you want to use that refund as the basis for allocation, type beginning and ending dates of 041501.
In the Equity Source Code, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the equity source code you want to allocate.
Click OK.
At the Is This Correct? box, click Yes.
