oneFreight log files can be found in the following folder on the server on which the oneFreight service is installed:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Modularis\logs

This folder will contain many log files. Only 1 log file is active and written to at a time and each file will contain all levels of logs that have been set to write to the log.

There are 3 reasons why a new log file would get created:

  • There is a new day. At midnight, a new file is created so that the file name contains the current date.

  • The service is restarted. The process ID of the server is in the file name, so restarting the service will change this value and start a new file.

  • The active log file exceeds 100 MB. To make sure no single file becomes too large, this will event create a new file. If the new log file also exceeds 100 MB, then another log file will be created at that point, and so on.

If a log file is requested when a certain event happened, it is recommended to sort log files by date modified and select the file or files that would have been the active file at that time.
