1.1 Requirement Description

The request is to provide a mechanism by which manual edits performed using the Alt-E functionality in Storage Management will trigger an entry that will be included in the inventory audit, position audit reports, and the web service message. This entry should be ignored for all purposes other than audit.

1.2 Solution Overview

Create a new transaction type to be used in the GRN position audit, 2=Manual Bin Edit. This entry will be created by and Alt-E edit in Storage Management. When this entry is created, the document number will be set to the Storage Facility plus Bin Code. The quantity will be the ending value minus the beginning value to capture the change. The GRN Inventory Position will not be impacted in any way by the additional audit record.

2.1 Editing BIN Manually

Navigation: BIN, Storage Bin Information, Edit a Storage Bin
Assuming the user has sufficient security rights, select Edit a Storage Bin.

Select Location and Storage Facility/Bin Code.


Select the Trade Unit of Measure.

Select option 1) Capacity Information.

Open

Press Alt-E to enable editing of the Gross Bushels and Net Bushels fields.

Making a change to the Net Bushels field and saving the change will trigger an audit record to be written to the table. Gross Bushels will not trigger an audit record. This record will not change the position but will show in the audits.

2.2 Position Inquiry

Navigation: GRN, Commodity Positions, Position Inquiry
Selecting the Audit button on the Position Inquiry screen will show the audit filter screen.

The audit filter screen will allow filtering by the new transaction type. Type 2s will only be included if the user has selected "All Inventory Trans." from the previous screen. They will be ignored for other inquiries. The transactions will be shown but will not impact the position totals.

2.3 Inventory Audit Reports

The audit filter screen will allow filtering by the new transaction type. There will be no changes to the standard reports. In order to see the adjustment value in Transaction Units #1, the user must create a report and add that field.

2.4 Web Service Message
