NEW Remit To Advance Check Printing Option (CINCH 18.5)

In release 18.4 M6 we added a new Remit To field to both the Advance Entry and Assembly Advance Entry windows, which did not affect the creation of the check. In this release, this field can affect the creation of check. The following are the rules for how the system chooses the address/check name to print on an advance check either from Advance Entry or Assembly Advance Entry.

Note: The Remit To field displays a Customer’s Address ID. The Remit To Vendor field displays a Vendor ID.

Address:

1. Only one remit ID can be selected. Either the Remit To Address ID or the Remit To Vendor ID. If a user attempts to add both a Remit To and a Remit To Vendor, they will be warned and asked to remove the other ID.

2. If a Remit To Address ID is entered, the system will print the address of the Remit To Address ID on the check. (NEW functionality)

3. If a Remit To Vendor ID is entered, the system will print the Vendor ID’s Primary Address, Address ID’s address on the check. It will also create an Address ID for the Customer using the Vendor ID as the Address ID and the Remit to Vendor’s Primary Address, Address ID’s address as the address within the Customer’s Address IDs (Original Functionality)

4. If neither the Remit To Address ID nor the Remit To Vendor ID is entered, the system will print the address of the customer’s default Remit To ID. If a Remit To ID is not present, it will print the Customer’s Primary Address, Address ID’s address. (Original functionality)

Check Name:

1. Defaults from the Customer’s Check Name but can be changed.

2. If the Customer’s Check Name is blank it will default blank.

3. If a Remit To Vendor ID is selected and the Check Name is NOT blank the Remit To Vendor ID’s check name will not overwrite the Check Name, but the check name can be updated manually.

4. If a Remit To Vendor ID is selected and the Check Name IS blank the Remit To Vendor ID’s Check Name will default but can be changed manually.
