Differentiating Between GP and CINCH

Tips on how to differentiate if you are working in GP or CINCH within your application.

TIP 1: Check for Software Version Information displayed within bottom left corner of the screen

MOST of the CINCH transaction windows will have version information bottom left. GP will not display version information in the bottom left.

Tip 2: Look for “IR” when Print to Screen

When you print to screen, the Screen Output for CINCH documents will always print IR in front of the document name. The Screen Output for GP will only display the document name (no “IR”).

Example CINCH Order:

Notice there is “IR” in front of the document name “SOP Blank Order Form”

Example GP Order:

Notice there is no IR in front of the document name “SOP Blank Order Form”

Tip 3: Which module are you utilizing to access your window?

You will be working within CINCH if you are accessing your window through a CINCH module. On the top menu bar the CINCH modules have the CINCH name in the menu name. There is some crossover between CINCH and GP within the modules, refer to TIP's 1 and 2.
