Item Maintenance - Ability to update all locations when a change is made to the item in one location (AGS-7767)
Benefits:
Reduce time and effort to update inventory items across all locations
Maximize the accuracy of inventory item information across all locations.
Details:
Inventory Item Maintenance now allows users to copy inventory item edits to other locations.
User's ability to copy item edits is controlled by new Item Maintenance - Copy Item Edits security option.
User will receive a prompt to copy item edits after updating current location and when user has access rights to other locations where inventory item exists.
User is able to specify which additional locations are to be updated.
Inventory Item data available to copy:
a) General Information
b) Pricing Information, excluding price schedules and extended pricing
c) Balance Reorder Point, Reorder Units, Overstock Point, and Market Cost data elements
d) Item Remarks
e) Inventory Remarks
Copy edits process updates selected additional locations with all edits. This feature does not include designating which data edits are to be copied to other locations.
Where necessary, copy edits process validates data prior to updating a destination location. If any of the data elements fail validation, none of the edits are posted to the destination location.
Copy process produces an "Inventory - Copy Edits To Other Locations Report". Report displays Inventory Item, Copy From and To locations, Copy Results, Validation rejection codes and description, and Copy Count Summary.
