Creating A Ledger Journal Entry Report with Quantities

This article will help you add the quantities columns to the standard General Ledger Report. It is assumed you already have some report writing experience. If you do not, you can reach out to support for assistance.

Navigation LDG>Report Manager>Journal Entry Reports>Report Writer>General Ledger Report

Below is an example of the fields that are reflected on the Standard General Ledger Report. The report will print up to 133 characters per line. If you want to expand the fields on the report to include quantities then some fields need to either be removed or shortened.

Below is an example of the AGRIS Default Chart of Accounts where the Account Code is set to 4 characters, the Detail Code is only 2 characters and the Profit Code is not being used.

In the example below I shortened the Account Code and Detail Code fields. I also eliminated the Profit Center Codes because it was not being used. I shortened the Entry Description field form 30 to 18. I added both the Debit and Credit Quantities. See the next page for an example of the resulting report.
