How to Copy User Ids & Security from One Dataset to Another
In this article we will go over how to copy user ids and security from one dataset to another. This process will either create the user in the copy too dataset, if is doesn’t already exist, or update a matching/existing user id in the copy too dataset. Copying to Another Dataset will allow you to mirror the user id and securities set for one dataset in another dataset, such as archived or practice datasets.
Note: The logged in User Id and Password attempting to copy a User Id to another dataset must exist in the copy too dataset and must have system security level 2 - 6 in order to preform the copy (AGS-20708).
Instructions
Go to Customize >> System Security.
Select the users to be copied.
Select option #7 Copy to Another Dataset.
Select the dataset you wish to copy to and hit select.
System will ask you to confirm the User Id and Dataset, select Yes or No.
** If the user is assigned to a Group User ID the group user must be brought over
