Graphing Soil Test Data

Overview

The soil test results from one or more soil test samples can be presented graphically as an alternative to viewing the actual numeric test results. Individual samples or a composite of multiple samples can be graphed.

The values that represent low, medium, and high values for each soil test type in the graph are set up using minimum and maximum values for each soil test type on the AgroGuide – Soil Test Type Maintenance window under Crop Plan Setup.

To create graph:

  1. From the toolbar, Select AGY for AgroGuide.

  2. From the AgroGuide menu, select AgroGuide, then select a client from the entity tree, and then select the farm, field, or subfield that contains the soil tests to be graphed.

  3. Click the Soil Test button in the lower left section of the AgroGuide Tree window.

  4. Mark the check box for any of the available soil tests in the Soil Tests list. Unmark the check box to de-select the soil test. Note: Multiple soil tests can be selected by marking the check boxes for each soil test to include. A composite of all selected soil tests is created in addition to the separate soil test results.

  5. Select a tab for an individual soil test, or the Composite tab for the average of all selected soil tests.

  6. Click Graph to display a graphical representation of the selected soil test tab.
