AGRIS Agent Web Service - Transaction Service Unavailable

 Problem

Transaction Service unavailable message indicates either the AGRIS Agent Web Service, PSQL or SQL, is not running or an invalid Transaction Service URL is defined in CFT Integration Service configuration.

 Solution

Verify AGRIS Agent Web Service is running

1. Start Windows Services Manager

   1. press “Win+R” buttons

   2. type “services.msc” and click OK button

2. Verify AGRIS Agent Services are running

   1. Locate Agris-PSQL Agent Web Services and Agris-SQL Agent Web Services in services list

   2. Verify status reads “Running”

   3. Perform Step 3 if status is not “Running”

      Open

      

3. Start AGRIS Agent Services

   1. Position cursor on service line and right click mouse to display menu

   2. Click on Start menu option

   3. After starting service(s), run CFT AGRIS Web Service, Process/Monitor Web Service Integration (menu option 2). Verify Transaction Service URL status reads “running”.

Verify Transaction Service URL for AGRIS Agent Web Service

There are only two valid AGRIS Agent Web Service urls. One for Actian (Pervasive) database and the other for Microsoft Sql Server database. Currently they only apply to RJO Hrvyst Hedge and NetSuite integrations.

1. Select CFT → Communications → AGRIS Web Service menu option

2. Select AGRIS Web Service Configuration option

3. Select Integration

4. Click General command button

5. Verify correct Transaction Url

   1. Must match dataset type, Actian (AgrisPSQL) or Microsoft Sql Server (AgrisSQL)

   2. Must match url text listed above.

   3. If necessary correct and save.

6. Exit back to AGRIS Web Service option list and run option , Process/Monitor Web Service Integration

7. Select integration

8. Verify Transaction Service URL status reads “running”

   1. If not, continue to next step, Verify Connection to AGRIS Agent Web Service

       

9. Verify Connection to AGRIS Agent Web Service

   1. Copy AGRIS Agent Web Service portion from Transaction Service URL

      1. Actian: http://machine_name:8080/AgrisPSQL/RESTCommandWebService/

      2. Microsoft SQL Server: http://machine_name:8080/AgrisSQL/RESTCommandWebService/

   2. Open web browser, paste copied text into address bar, and press enter

   3. Expected valid connection response
