Completing Bank Transfers

Overview

Use this job aid to transfer money from one bank account to another bank account. This activity will make a LDG entry when SJI’s are processed.

To complete bank transfers:

  1. From the Toolbar, click BNK for Bank Management.

  2. From the Bank Management menu, select Bank Transfer.

  3. Verify Location. Enter BNK code for transfer from bank account, or to search for the bank code, select OK.

  4. On the Bank Management window, select the bank account name you want to transfer from.

  5. Verify Location. Enter BNK code for Account you are transferring to, or to search for the bank code, Select OK.

  6. On the Bank Management window, select the bank account you want to transfer to.

  7. In the Ledger Date box, change the ledger date if necessary.

  8. In the Control Number box, change the number if necessary. Select Ok

     

  9. In the Description box, type a description that will explain the reason you performed a bank transfer.

  10. In the Amount box, type the amount of the bank transfer.

  11. In the Deposit # box, type the deposit number associated to the bank transfer.

  12. Select OK.

     

     

  13. If any of the information was entered wrong, this is one of the only transfers you can void or reverse. See void bank transfer for details.
