Dashboard Service Configuration

Purpose: The Cultura AGRIS SYS Dashboard Service will create the Dashboard Widgets to be displayed on the dashboard based on user subscription.

  • The Cultura AGRIS SYS Dashboard Service is installed as part of the 21.1.0 SU5 Software Update and beyond.

  • The service should be configured to run on one dedicated machine only.

  • If you are using PSQL/ZEN as your database we suggest this DB server is also where you want to configure the dashboard service assuming AGRIS is also installed on the DB Server.
    If you are using MSSQL, the service is usually configured to run on a separate dedicated machine and again only 1 instance of the service should be running.

 

Client/Server Network Installation Type

PSQL/ZEN Database: If this installation is a PSQL/ZEN Client/Server install (network environment) where the AGRIS applications are running on different machines than the Database Server, then we recommend configuring the Dashboard Service to run on the Database server.

MSSQL Database: In most cases we recommend installing AGRIS on different servers than the MSSQL database server. Determine which server you want to configure the Dashboard Service to run on and configure it accordingly. The service should be configured to run on one machine only.

Configure the service Log On set to This account.

Be sure that Log On Account has full permissions to the AGRIS Datapath and all its subfolders. This is expected to be a UNC path.

Settings for Client/Server network installation

Set the Startup type.

Click Apply to apply these settings.

Click Start to start the service. Widgets will be created for users who are logged into the AGRIS.NET Dashboard with subscriptions and required permissions.

 

Standalone Installation Type

Configure the service Log On set to Local System Account.

Set the Startup type.

Click Apply to apply these settings.

Click Start to start the service. Widgets will be created for users who are logged into the AGRIS.NET Dashboard with subscriptions and required permissions.
