Bookings and Prepay

Overview:

Bookings and Prepay provide you the ability to "Create a customer obligation" 

You have two choices:

1. Prepay -  Commitment from the customer to purchase with money to secure the commitment. 
2. Bookings - Commitment for purchasing a product with no money received from the customer to secure the commitment. 

These obligations / commitments can update your inventory position to understand exactly what your obligations to serve your commitments will be.  

Use of the Inventory Position reports provide you the tools to actively manage your position correctly by taking into account prepay bookings when sales orders or commodity transactions could also be combined as part of the overall obligation.
