Email Forms and Reports

Overview
AGRIS 10.2.0 and higher supports using your SMTP email client to send a copy of reports and forms to the email address defined for the current AGRIS user and to a predefined distribution list specific to each report or form..
Testing Communications Ports
The screenshots below have all been tested. The SMTP host and Port Number assignments are correct for their respective SMTP service providers. It is possible to have other smtp hosts and port assignments.
If you want to confirm connectivity to the SMTP host and port , you will need to perform the following test from the client machine.
Download the Telnet client from Telnet download
Example for testing ports for smtp.office365.com
command line test: c:\test\telnet smtp.office365.com 587
success looks similar to this → 220 BN6PR02CA0072.outlook.office365.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Mon, 26 Sep 2016 13:14:31 +0000
failure looks similar to this → Connecting To smtp.office365.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 587: Connect failed
resolution → contact you IT administrator or someone who configures TCP/IP communications ports and inform them that this target address and port needs to be accessible from all clients.
Target is smtp.office365.com

Notes:
For Microsoft Office 365 to work properly the Host User and Default "From" Email Address fields must be identical.
When using Outlook365, if the "From Address" and "Auth Username" do not match, there is a potential need to configure "Send As" privileges for your mail server. Here is how you can configure this for Office365:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2572646. You may also need to set up SMTP relay on your Office365 account.

AGRIS User Email
Select the Customize>System Security menu item. Choose the desired user and select "1) General Information" from the menu. Enter the user's desired email address in the appropriate field and save.

Graphic Reports/Forms - PDF Encryption
Implemented in AGRIS 20.3
Dataset Maintenance→Select Dataset→Security Options

Emailing Graphic Reports and Forms:
The default behavior for Graphic Reports and Forms is to encrypt the PDF without specifying a password. As of AGRIS 20.3, we have provided additional features. You can choose (N) No Encryption, (Y) Encryption without a password or (Y) Encryption with a password that you specify.
NOTE: Graphic Report/Form must be upgraded to newer reporting engine. For more info see Active Reports (10.3.1)#UpgradeStatus and Active Reports (10.3.1)#UpgradeProcess.
(N) - No encryption (the PDF will not be encrypted and no password is required to open the document)
(Y) - Yes encryption without password (the PDF will be encrypted and no password is required to open the document). This is the default behavior prior to AGRIS 20.3.
(Y) - Yes encryption with password (the PDF is encrypted and the password is required to open the document)
