Setting up State/County

Overview

Use this job aid to setup new State/County codes.  Use the State/County list for Farm/Field/Sub-Field setup and Name Id license setup. A pre-loaded list will default when converting a dataset or creating a new dataset.

To setup new state/county codes:

1. From the Toolbar, select AGY for AgroGuide.

2. From the AgroGuide Menu, select General Setup, select State/County.

3. Click New, to create a State/County code.

4. In the Code box, type in the 2 digit code to represent the State Code.

5. In the Name box, type in the Description of the State Code.  This field is 30 characters.

6. In the FIPS code box, type in the FIPS code.  This field is 4 characters.

7. Un-check the Is Active checkbox, to make the State inactive.

8. Click County, to create or modify the county.

9. Click New, to create new county.

10. In the Code Box, type in the county code.  This field is 6 characters.

11. In the Name box, type in the county description.  This field is 30 characters.

12. In the FIPS code box, type in the FIPS code. This field is 4 characters.

13. Un-check the Is Active checkbox, to make the County inactive.

14. Click Apply, to save changes and/ or create State/County codes.

15. Click OK, to save all changes in the State/County codes.
