AGRIS Customer Documentation
Location Groups
Here is the overview on the steps to accomplish running reports for only certain locations:
Go to Maintenance > Location Maintenance
For each location that you want included on the report, go into that location’s properties
and type in the name of a location group you would like to use (i.e. AGM). To clarify, there
is no other setup to complete to establish a location group other than just typing in the
desired name of the group under each of the location codes you wish to assign to the group.
About Location Groups: Location Group A,B,C,D,E - Each location can be associated
with up to five location groups. Each location group is alpha-numeric, up to five
characters. These groups allow reporting by locations not sequentially numbered.
This is especially useful when reporting by enterprise, such as feed, fuel, agronomy,
etc. For example; each feed location can be assigned to a location group. Reports
can then be based on the location group rather than a range of locations.Adjust/run the report(s) in AGRIS that should use the newly created location group.
Keep an eye out for a button titled ‘Locations’ which is generally found at the bottom of the
2nd screen of most reports.Change the beginning and ending location group parameters as desired. In the example
depicted here, only a single location group is being designated. That particular location
group contains locations 100 and 900. By setting the location group as shown here, the
other locations in the dataset (200, 300, 400, etc.) are excluded when the report is run.
