Printing Bank Reconciliation Report
The reconciliation report gives you a Recon balance that is created from (current bank balance minus un-reconciled transactions)
This final total should balance to your bank statement that is received from the Brick-n-Mortar Bank.
It prints all un-reconciled (active) transactions regardless of the ledger date that controls when it posts to the ledger.
Bank Reconciliation report balances to the official bank statement because it takes everything in the bank and subtracts from the balance to get to a recon balance regardless of the ledger date.
These (active) transactions are backed out of the current bank balance to reach a total that should match the bank statement.
So Bank Reconciliation report just works off active/reconciled/void fields.
Example:
Bank reconciliation report (used to balance to bank statement):
On May 30th you have $15,000 in the bank
May 31st you have $10,000 worth of withdrawals keyed into AGRIS.
New AGRIS bank balance as of May 31st is $5000.
You get the statement from the bank on June 3rd for all activity for the month of May that the Brick-n-Mortar Bank knows about.
You place the little X by everything that went through the bank but the bank statement as of May 31st does not show the AGRIS May 31st transactions because they didn't hit the brick-n-mortar bank yet.
So your bank reconciliation report will take the $5000 + $10000 withdrawals = $15,000
And this matches your bank statement.
So you balanced your check register AGRIS subsidiary to the Bank statement.
How to Run:
AGRIS > Bank > Report manager > Standard Reports > bank Recon
Limit by bank code .
You do NOT need to key in dates although by default, it will only show you the unreconciled checks of the current month.
Even if you exclude the next 3 months of active checks, the ending running total will still be the same.
It is current bank balance less ALL reconciled bank transactions, even if they don’t print on the report because of limited date parameters.
NOTE: This means that you cannot go back and ask for a Bank Recon from 12-Months ago.
This is a one time report.
