Entering Inbound Stock Transfers
Overview
Use this procedure to enter inbound stock transfers. The inbound transfer increases the quantity on hand and value of the selected item at the selected location. The inbound transfer can be used to record an intra-company transfer of merchandise into another accounting location. The transfer of merchandise may be at the subitem level. The inbound transfer can also be used in conjunction with an outbound transfer to move merchandise out of one item and/or location into one or more other items and/or locations.
To enter inbound stock transfers:
From the Toolbar, click INV for Inventory.
From the Inventory menu, select Inventory.
From the Inventory menu, select Stock Transfers.
Select Inbound Transfer Only.
In the Location Code box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the location code you want to transfer to, or type the location code that you want to transfer to.
In the To Item Number box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the item number you want to transfer, or type the item number that you want to transfer.
In the Barcode box, enter if applicable or leave blank.
Click OK.
In the Quantity In box, type the number of stocking units of measure that will increase the selected location and item number.
In the Average Cost box, type the cost per stocking unit of measure (to account for additional handling (freight) charges). The average cost is recalculated upon completion of this process.
Click OK.
If done entering items, click OK.
In the Other Reference box, type a reference for this transfer.
In the Name Id box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the name id you want to enter, or type the name id that you want.
In the box Remark box, type any notes if applicable.
Click OK.
At the Is This Correct? prompt, click Yes.
