Credit Management Notes - Setup & Use
Overview
While entering invoices, grain tickets, settlements, or go into AR/GRN Inquiry functions, AGRIS can be set to display customer contact notes for certain contacts types.
Each of the 9-types of Contacts can now be flagged as viewable in in four different areas of AGRIS.

Flag each note to be visible in each area.
Rules for Notes Being Visible at Invoicing, Ticket, Settlement, or Inquiry Time:
Contact notes are considered viewable if the note details match the document detail:
the document's Invoice Ship To Name ID, Invoice Billing Split Name id, Grn Ticket Name, Grn Settlement name id, or Inquiry Name id
the document location or blank location
the viewable contact type (as seen in screen above)
The computer’s current operating date must meet the contact Promise and Final Date range restrictions.
Promise & Final dates cannot be left BlankThere must be something written in the 70-character notes field.

AR Inquiry - displays as menu option 13 instead of Yellow Post It Note icon
Clicking on the button launches the Display Contact Notes dialog.
When more than one Name ID includes viewable contact notes, this dialog displays a Name ID selection.
These contact notes are displayed in the order
contact location
date entered

Contact Maintenance
How to Use
ACR > Credit Management > Account Balance Inquiry.
Select a customer name ID.
Highlight the location you want the note displayed in.
If it is be seen by all locations, select the ALL balance line.Selection Contact information from the menu.
Use the Insert button to add a new contact note to this name id.
Select a contact type by typing the associated number in the Contact Type field.
The Contact Notes Dialog Box displays
Type the number for the desired contact type in the Contact Type field.
Complete the remaining fields in the dialog box. Be sure to enter a Promise & Final Date.
Type any notes associated with this contact type in the notes fields, located below the Amount field.
There must be notes type in one of the 10-Note fields or you will not receive the YELLOW Notes button during transaction entry.Select the SAVE button to save the contact.
