Changing Unit of Measure

Question

How do I change from CWT to Bushels in our grain program. 

Solution

We do not recommend changing the unit of measure on a commodity, it can affect the past transactions. We recommend creating a new commodity in the unit of measure you wish to use.

You will need to do a position adjustment out of the current commodity, convert the units, then do a position adjustment into the new commodity.

If you have current tickets or open contracts, those will need to be deleted an rekeyed in the new commodity as well.
