Comparing Activities

Overview

Use this job aid to simultaneously compare accumulated patron activity in three different date ranges. Patron activity must be accumulated or manually added. Comparison dates must be set up in Setup Information.

To compare history:

1. From the Toolbar, click PAT for Patronage.

2. From the Patronage menu, select Patron History, and then select Activity Comparison.

3. In the Patron Name Id box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the patron name id you want to compare.

4. Click OK.

5. In the Beginning or Ending Date Descriptions for the three comparison periods display from Patronage Setup Information, and cannot be changed here. For purposes of comparison, however, you can enter your choice of beginning and ending dates. boxes, type the beginning and ending dates for the range of patron activity you want to compare.

6. Click OK.

7. In the Purchase/Sales box, type P if you want to edit or view activity accumulated from purchases made in Inventory or Commodity Accounting; enter S if you want to edit or view activity accumulated from sales made through Inventory or Commodity Accounting.

8. In the Accounting Type box, type a 1 for inventory purchased or sold, 2 for commodity received, 3 for commodity purchased or sold, 4 for commodity settled, or 5 for commodity discounts.

9. In the Patronage Code box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the patronage code you want to  compare.

10. In the  Location Code box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the patronage location you want to compare.

11. Click OK.
