Viewing/Editing a Sales Order

Overview

Use this job aid to view or edit a sales order. There are several purposes of the View/Edit option, for example, to inquire into which inventory items are on the sales order and their respective unit selling prices and the quantities ordered, to change the unit selling price and/or quantity ordered on selected line items, to cancel the remaining order quantity of selected line items, to change the status code from pending to a different status code, to add, change, or remove remarks, and to enter a quantity to release for producing sales orders

To view or edit a sales order:

1. From the Toolbar, click INV for Inventory.

2. From the Inventory menu, select Sales Orders.

3. From the Sales Orders menu, select View/Edit Sales Orders.

4. In the Location Code box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the location code where you want to view/edit the sales order in, or type the location code where you want to view/edit the sales order in.

5. In the Sales Order # box, click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the sales order number you want to view/edit. Search selection boxes display that can limit the selection of orders from which to choose. Each box is optional and may be left blank to include orders with any value in the specific box, or type the purchase order number you want to view/edit.

6. Click OK.

7. In the Order Number and Line Number windows add information to define your search or leave blank, Click Lookup or type * and press Enter, and then select the appropriate information or type the appropriate information.

8. Click Next until you find the sales order you want to view/edit.

9. Click Select when the correct sales order displays.

10. View or edit any of the sales order boxes. For an explanation about any box, see the procedure Creating a Sales Order link below. To move from window to window, click OK, click Select, or click Yes to prompts.
