MSSQL How to Backup SQL Server Databases using SQL Server Management Studio - Introduction
This article is intended to give you an introduction to backing up your AGRIS and Accelerator Databases. Your specific scenario may not be addressed in this article.
There are 2 databases that you should backup.
These are the default names. If you have different names specified in your c:\apps\agris\bin\dbconnections.config, you can replace the names below accordingly.
Accelerator Database
AGRIS Database
Instructions:
Launch SQL Server Management Studio
if you dont see a shortcut you can look here and create a shortcut "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Tools\Binn\ManagementStudio\Ssms.exe". Obviously your path may be slightly different based on the version you have installed.
after creating the shortcut, right click on the shortcut, click the Advanced button then check the Administrator box, then apply ok, etc.
Here are the 2 databases
Right click each Database
Click Tasks→Backup
Click Add
Click OK
Click on Media options and choose the Overwrite all existing backup sets
Click OK and the backup will be created at the path above
now repeat the steps starting at option 2 above and replace Accelerator with AGRIS
The result will be
c:\databases\data\backup\accelerator.bak
c:\databases\data\backup\agris.bak
Copy these files to your storage location or device
