How to: Setup a workstation with the Citrix ICA Client

Download the Citrix ICA client from Citrix website.

Save it to disk and launch the downloaded file.  Follow the install wizard.

To Create the ICA connection:

1. Open the Citrix Program Neighborhood icon

2. Double click add ICA connection

3. Select the connection type LAN or WAN

4. Enter a description for the connection

5. Select the server or published application radio box

6. If using a LAN connection select the drop down box, the Citrix farm name should appear.  Highlight the server farm name.

7. If your using a WAN connection you will need to enter the correct WAN IP address of the remote citrix server.

8. It may also be necessary to enter a Server Location IP address to force the ICA client to connect to the correct server farm.

9. Click Next

10. Select the correct encryption level

11. Click Next

12. Change the Window screen size by unchecking the Use Default box and selecting at least 1020X768

13. Click Next

14. Click Next

15. Click Finish

16. This will create a new icon within the Citrix Program Neighborhood group

17. To make the new Agris ICA icon appear on your desktop, right click on the icon and click on Create Desktop Shortcut.
