Adding Tiger Data

Overview

Use this job aid to add Tiger Data.

To add tiger data:

  1. Copy the Tiger files from CD or DVD to a folder on each machine that will need to have Tiger data displayed.

  2. From the toolbar, Select AGY for AgroGuide.

  3. From the AgroGuide menu, select AgroGuide.

  4. In the Client box, use the lookup to select a Client.

  5. Select the Map Tab.

  6. Click on the Edit Map Preferences button on the Map tab.

  7. Click on the Tiger Maps tab.

  8. Select the Add button.  

  9. Browse to and select the folder where you had copied the Tiger files to earlier.

  10. Check the Tiger files to be linked by clicking in the box to the left of the files for each county.  

  11. Click Close when finished.

  12. Based upon the State and County set up on the General tab, the corresponding Tiger data will display as a background image on the Map tab.
